HobbyScool Podcast

30th April 2025

We’re so excited to have been a guest on the HobbyScool podcast and really enjoyed chatting with the founder, Destini Copp.

In the episode, Caroline shares her story, how she went from ‘a battery hen to a free range chicken’, and her transition from the busy London Life to settling in the quieter, english countryside. Her quintessentially english country house is set on the foundations of a medieval monastery built in 1695. She explains how her 9-acre historic english garden is a constant source of inspiration and how anyone can find similar inspiration, no matter where they live in the world.

The mother/daughter duo also discuss the importance of tapping into the inner child through regular playful art practice, as well as the equal importance of having an artistic community. The pair talk about their free online group Creative Space, where members can receive weekly art prompts of colour, shape and texture -to apply to any artwork.

Caroline speaks about her successful garden design school set in her own garden, which she’s been running for the last 15 years.

Caroline also shares her top 3 tips for expressing creativity. Emma reveals an exciting free gift new mailing list members can receive, helping both seasoned and beginner watercolour artists get to grips with the all important fundamental watercolour techniques.
