We’re so excited to be partnering with ‘I Felt Fantastic’ to bring you a fun, creative, Christmas weekend of courses. Join us on the 7th and 8th of December for some festive fun.
Paint your own robin Christmas card artwork on the 7th of December and later order a pack of 10 cards of your unique artwork from our website to delight your friends and family. Cards are professionally printed and cost £15 including envelopes and delivery.
On the 8th of December create a crafty needle felted robin wreath with ‘I Felt Fantastic’. Discover how to build a core structure using pure sheep's wool, add and blend colour, and bring your robin to life with intricate details. You will also learn how to create felted holly and ivy leaves. Combining all the elements together, you will be left with a beautiful mixed-media wreath.
We’ll set the festive tone by offering mince pies and listening to classic Christmas music over this fun weekend. Both courses are beginner-friendly and take place in our bespoke schoolroom, on the grounds of Gossington Hall.

About the Painting Course
Throughout this course, you will be following a guided step-by-step process that will result in a contemporary robin in a festive, winter setting. You will begin the day by sketching out the design, then you will learn watercolour techniques, paint your robin and finally paint the luscious, festive background. You will leave the day with your original artwork which can be framed, as well as high-quality, extensive handouts.
All materials are included, however, if you have particular materials such as brushes which you love, you are welcome to bring them.
Ordering Your Cards (Optional)
Let us know during the course if you would like to turn your finished artwork into high-quality professionally printed Christmas cards. Your cards will be personalised on the back with your name as pictured above. Available to order the following week at a cost of £15 for 10 cards (including postage) from our website via a curated link. Estimated delivery time 2-4 working days after you order. You can order as many packs of 10 as you would like. Cards come with quality brown envelopes.
Completed artwork will be scanned in-house using the same scanner that Caroline uses for her professional artwork.
Guided Tuition
Caroline and Emma will be on hand all day to share expert tips, and advice and support your creative process. They can also offer ideas to simplify your artwork if you’re feeling under time pressure.
Similarly, the extensive handouts feature ideas to make the artwork your own, by including alternative elements. The high-quality handouts can be referred back to after the course, giving you the chance to practice what you learnt.

Your tutor will be Caroline Tatham, a qualified lecturer who has a lifetime of experience teaching creativity.
Your teaching assistant will be Emma Tatham who will offer lots of encouragement and practical support.
If you book the felting course you will be taught by the talented Sarah from 'I Felt Fantastic'.

Not at all. We specialise in supporting and encouraging those with no previous experience. You just need a ‘can do’ attitude!

Do not worry! We are all creative and Caroline specialises in connecting people to their inner creative voice.
You just need to be willing to give it a go. Absolute beginners are most welcome.

You will create a watercolour painting of a robin in a festive, winter scene. Yes! You are very welcome to join our online community ‘Creative Space’ where Caroline offers encouragement and feedback to posting members. In this free group, Caroline also shares weekly botanical photographs to inspire your artwork (#CreativeSpaceNatureSpark).
There is also the chance to win prizes in the group challenges.
